Share On Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the private Share On application (“the App”) handles information. The App is operated solely for its owner’s personal use and is not offered to the public.

Information the App accesses

When the owner connects a LinkedIn account, the App may access basic LinkedIn account information needed to confirm the connected account, an OAuth access token, and post content the owner chooses to create or publish.

How information is used

Information is used only to authenticate the owner, preview content, and publish LinkedIn posts when the owner explicitly approves them. The App does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles about other LinkedIn members.

Storage and security

LinkedIn access credentials are stored privately and are not intentionally exposed in public source code or client-side web pages. Access is limited to the owner of the App. Reasonable measures are used to protect stored credentials, but no storage method is completely secure.

Service providers

The App communicates with LinkedIn to authenticate the account and publish approved content. It is operated through ChatGPT/Codex, so instructions and content submitted through that service may also be processed by OpenAI under OpenAI’s applicable terms and privacy policy.

Sharing

Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate the App, including LinkedIn and OpenAI. The App does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Data retention

Authentication information is retained only while needed to keep the LinkedIn account connected. Draft post content is retained only according to the settings and practices of the services used to operate the App.

Your choices

The owner may stop using the App at any time, remove its stored credentials, or revoke the App’s access through LinkedIn account settings.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the App’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
